As a college admissions counselor, and the parent of three children, all of whom are in college or graduate school, Heather understands the family dynamics that accompany this time of enormous anticipation and  anxiety in a student’s life. By fostering positive interaction she relieves the stress that often develops between parents and children. Her interest in young people and in educational excellence helps students and their families make informed and appropriate decisions about college.

“Thank you, Heather, for volunteering your time for COLLEGE GOAL SUNDAY-the program to help students and their families from the Greater Hartford area understand and apply for financial aid.  It was great to have you join us in this community effort.”

Ivette Rivera-Dreyer, Director, Financial Aid, Manchester Community College

“I was going through some boxes tonight and came across my notes from a class you taught for parents of college-bound students.  Well my son just finished his freshman year at Yale University where he is very happy…He was also accepted at Dartmouth and the US Naval Academy, so your advice was right on the money…I’ve got three more kids to go and that’s why I saved the notes and hand-outs from your class.”
